:: Posted by dfeely on 09-15-2010
TSI – the process of making a catch – an NFL Referee’s interpretation of a complex policy (ruling).

On Sunday September 12, Chicago Bear and Detroit Lions fans experienced some emotional turmoil based on a critical play when the NFL referees rendered a call in the Bear’s favor. This illustration is a process/performance consultant’s attempt to diagram what happened. This example proves that knowing ALL of the stakeholders’ expectations can be the difference between success and failure. Enjoy.

I really enjoyed this book - http://heathbrothers.com/switch/

This contains an excellent mix of useful, common sense, applicable research and a heavy dose of counterintuitive insight that just makes a lot of sense.
