Non-Profit and Government Agency Expertise

TSI's consultants have assisted a number of non-profit organizations. Listed below are a few examples of our expertise:

  • Large Municipal Government – Denver, CO - TSI completed a project to create an IT infrastructure organization to support the City/County’s enterprise system (PeopleSoft) and provide shared services to the user departments and agencies. Created an overall organization structure, defined roles and responsibilities and service level agreements in addition to processes to analyze, prioritize and schedule request work. A significant element for this project included addressing the political obstacles that prevented the senior directors from adopting the suggested changes.
  • Large, rapidly-growing, Study Abroad Organization - Chicago, IL - as this organizations grew from $10M to almost $100M in revenue, it needed a complete overhaul of its technology and processes. TSI led an all-encompassing process improvement and technology re-engineering effort. TSI mapped, analyzed and improved dozens of processes. After the process improvement effort, TSI led the effort to evaluate, select and implement improved information systems covering student services, financials and reporting.
  • Large Trade Association – TSI was invited to be the keynote speaker on topics of performance management, process improvement and productivity.
  • Chicago Housing Authority – DARTS Request for Proposal Assisted in defining a RFP for the DARTS project by facilitating several work sessions with CHA management. TSI also reviewed the proposal and recommended ways to structure the project so vendors can respond and be evaluated based on CHA determined priorities.
  • Department of Health and Social Services, London, England Conducted the preliminary systems design and detailed design for the nation's unemployment benefit system. The information system would eventually be used by thousands of government employees to administer unemployment benefit and align job opportunities with unemployed workers.
