Six Sigma, Lean and Quality Expertise

Our Expertise

TSI has successfully completed well over 100 process/performance improvement engagements. With our Black belts, Green belts and other experienced strategy, process improvement and technology consultants, TSI leverages Lean, Six Sigma, TQM, ISO, Malcolm Baldrige and other techniques on our engagements.

Our Approach

Many professionals understand quality and what goes into designing a quality-oriented manufacturing process or how to establish quality checkpoints from an inspection process. TSI's quality emphasis is unique based on our focus on the following:

  • Establishing a pervasive culture of Quality (that is inclusive of Cost, Service and Speed)
  • Integrating a comprehensive definition and understanding of Quality with all relevant aspects of an organization
  • Defining the "vital few" metrics that will drive improved performance and align key members of the process internal and external to the organization
  • Aligning roles, responsibilities, compensation and even hiring criteria to develop a sustainable, improving culture of improvement.

TSI has a flexible framework that is the core of many of our performance improvement engagements. This framework uses both Lean and Six Sigma paradigms (as well as those from other areas of our expertise) and techniques emphasizing the DMAIC process and supporting tools.

How TSI Can Help

  • TSI can lead, advise or play a key role on Lean/Six Sigma and Quality Projects depending on:
  • Internal expertise
  • Politic nature of project and its likely outcomes
  • Available internal resources for the project
  • Need for objectivity
  • Budget
  • Desired implementation timeframe

TSI is currently engaged on a part-time basis for several small and mid-sized organizations as their VP/Director of Quality. Occasionally, this is a cost effective alternative to having a full time resource play this role.
