About the TSI Newsletter

A newsletter of ideas, comment, and dialogue for those who care about improving the performance of their organization

Welcome to the first issue of TSI Info Source for 2008. Like many of you, we are off to an extremely busy start to 2008. Along with new clients, projects and consultants (more on that below), we are experiencing growth just short of 300% over last year! As we change by the month, we hope to use this newsletter issue to both update you on some of our recent developments as well as provide "white paper" perspectives, tools and methods that will be of value to you.

In this issue, we also want to acknowledge the recent tragic event at Northern Illinois University. As an alumnus and as many of our colleagues and clients are also from NIU, we support all efforts for NIU to move FORWARD, TOGETHER FORWARD.

Also, please keep TSI in mind for your upcoming project needs. If your project involves improving processes, defining strategic directions, assessing or evaluating technology or managing change, there is a chance we have completed projects just like yours. Just let us know if you would like to discuss a project or need you may have.

Do you have ideas or questions that we should address in future newsletters? Let us know - we would enjoy hearing from you.

Please do not hesitate to provide us with feedback via e-mail: TSI E-mail

Kind Regards,
TSI

Speaking Engagement:

TSI is pleased to announce that it will be co-presenting a Case Study with the University of Illinois at next month's Educause Midwest Regional Conference 2008 at the InterContinental Chicago Hotel. The Case Study is entitled: Bringing Advancement Strategy to Life. TSI's Managing Partner Dan Feely and Andrea Ballinger, VP of Decision Support, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, will outline how a recently completed project at U of I identified and capitalized on the need to change business processes, organizational structures and the supporting technology to enable the achievement of critical advancement goals.

Abstract:

Decentralized and disparate campuses, colleges and departments, aging and non-integrated information systems and inefficient processes have created silos of information and obstacles to coordinating and implementing advancement strategies.  When looking across various locations and functions these issues are compounded and often lead to less than optimum results in advancement. In the current climate of rising costs and reduced outside funding, implementing advancement strategies have become critical to realizing a universities' competitive position.

This session is scheduled for: Monday, March 17, 2008 at 4:45 p.m. - 5:30 p.m in the Valencia Room on the First Floor. For Conference registration, please visit http://www.educause.edu/mwrc08.
